Depending on your product, your specific recipe will differ, but these are the steps to a complete freeze dry process.
Pre-treatment includes any method of treating the product prior to freezing. This can include concentrating the product, formulation revision, decreasing a high vapor pressure solvent, or increasing the surface area. Product is then frozen and prepped for placement within the trays in the Parker Cart systems.
The Parker Carts are loaded within the chamber and the system is activated. Once the process is started the product goes through the Sublimation and Desorption phases. Both of these are occurring under a vacuum.
When desired results are achieved the product carts are removed from the chamber and the product is ready for packaging. The carts are emptied and cleaned. The chamber is defrosted, cleaned, and reloaded for the next cycle.
